The steam sauna is a specially designed, portable steam sauna that creates heat using water vapor. The steam sauna has a spacious interior with a solid construction, suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Steam sauna versus traditional sauna
The steam sauna is heated by hot steam generated by the steam generator. Unlike a traditional sauna, where the room is heated by a heating element, the steam sauna is therefore heated by convection. The steam sauna has a higher humidity and a lower temperature in relation to a traditional sauna. This creates a more pleasant experience as the combination of lower temperature and higher humidity contributes to a more relaxing environment.
What is better - traditional or steam sauna?
Generally speaking, both traditional and steam saunas offer the same health benefits. Therefore, the fame depends on personal preference. Some prefer steam saunas as they believe that the lower temperature leads to a more pleasant therapy while also valuing the steam's cleansing quality. The steam can clear the sinuses and airways and is known to be an effective treatment for ailments such as bronchitis, asthma and cough. Despite this, some people prefer traditional saunas, as they believe that the steam can be a bit unpleasant. In such cases, a traditional sauna may be better.
How do I clean my steam room?
The inside of the steam sauna is heat-insulating and designed to prevent mold and bacteria build-up. After use, we recommend leaving the door open so that the steam sauna is ventilated. The remaining moisture on the inside can then be wiped off with a towel.
The steam sauna also comes with an absorbent floor mat.
Can the sauna be used outdoors?
Yes, Aura Ångbastu™ can be used outdoors, but it is a good idea to place it in a protected place, where there is no wind.
Aura Ångbastu™ is not waterproof, so if you leave it outdoors for long periods of time, the material may be damaged.
How long does it take to assemble it?
Installation of the steam sauna takes 5-10 minutes. After that, the container of the steam generator must be filled with water and heated for 5 minutes. It doesn't get any easier than that!
